Youth Confirmation at OLA
WHO? Youth entering the 9th grade are eligible to enroll in the first year of Confirmation.
WHAT? Confirmation Preparation is a faith formation journey centered around small group discipleship led by adult volunteers and peer leaders. Youth candidates commit to regular session attendance, yearly retreat experiences, service projects, and active participation in the Sunday 5:00 p.m. Mass.
SESSIONS ARE HELD IN-PERSON
WHEN? Sessions are held Sunday afternoons (with some exceptions) from 3:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m., which includes Sunday Mass (beginning at 5:00 p.m.) for youth and their families. All sessions are in-person.
WHERE? Youth meet in Mulcahy Center on the OLA Church campus at 3175 Telegraph Rd. in Ventura, CA.

COST? The annual registration fee for 2025-'26 is $375 and includes the cost of the weekend retreat. For a limited time, the registration fee of $350 will be honored until August 1st. More information about what this fee supports can be found on the registration form.

A COPY OF THE TEEN’S BAPTISM CERTIFICATE MUST BE PROVIDED TO THE YOUTH MINISTRY OFFICE - A PHYSICAL COPY MAY BE GIVEN OR UPLOADED AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION.

The tentative dates for all Year 1 gatherings for the 2025-'26 school year are as follows - please note that these dates may be subject to change.
Unless otherwise stated, the gathering begins at 3:30PM.

- October 5: Yr 1 and 2 together; Empowering God's Children & Young People (mandatory ADLA presentation)
- October 12
- October 26: Parent/Guardian & Teen attend together
- November 8: Grateful Dinner (Service project for all Year 1 and Year 2 teens)
- November 16
- December 7
- January 4: Parent/Guardian & Teen attend together
- January 18
- February 1
- February 6-8: Year 1 Retreat @ Forest Home, Ojai
- February 7: Parent/Guardian meeting with clergy
- March 1

A copy of the teen’s baptism certificate must be given to the Youth Ministry Office.

To be Confirmed, the Youth Ministry Office must have a copy of each teen’s baptism certificate. In addition, the teen must complete a Saint Name Report and Sponsor Contact Information form.
