We practice on Tuesdays from 3:10-4:00 P.M.
In the Santa Cruz Room
1) WE SING FOR GOD! We have developed our Childrens Music Ministry to worship God first and foremost. As we are all called to serve Him throughout our lives in various ways, we are honored to have the youngest of followers among us. We unite our talents to praise God and the teachings of his loving Son, Jesus.
2) WE SING FOR HIS CHURCH! We offer up this gift of song to our Awesome God and to all of His people through the Holy Spirit. Music has been a vessel since the beginning of time (even recorded through the Bible in the book of Psalms). This is our gift to His church and we emphasize that God's church lies wherever God's people gather.
3) WE SING FOR OURSELVES! We sing last, but not least, for ourselves. Worship music is a wonderful start to a lifelong journey of service, prayer, and having positive outlets in life. We learn music theory and early music appreciation through beautiful selections of worship music that are fun to sing yet complex enough to challenge the more advanced members. Our personal goals and abilities vary within the choir, but our unanimous goal is to build an uplifting and inspirational team while developing and fine-tuning our individual talents. We want to help you find your voice and celebrate the blessings that occur when you join a musical family of all ages together in song.
BONUS!!! Drop off to your child’s corresponding Tuesday RE class is available immediately following practice. (Which means, for some of you, drop off is at 3:10 and pick-up is at 5:15)
We try to arrange performances once a month. These include: singing the opening song for Sunday's 9:30 Mass, singing entire RE Masses on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 4-5 P.M., and performing concerts at nursing homes or other requested venues.
